Notebook Guardian BK100 Custom Laptop Security Cable Lock Overview

The Notebook Guardian is a one-piece lock and cable system that protects against theft of notebooks and other devices that have a built-in security slot. This strong one-piece lock and cable delivers excellent protection against theft. It is very easy to use, easy to coil and stow away, and fits neatly into most notebook carrying cases. The Notebook Guardian is developed around PC Guardian's patented tamper-resistant stainless steel lock mechanism, protected by a chrome-plated zinc cable collar and black impact-resistant nylon bumper. The one-piece lock is attached to a 6-foot multi-strand galvanized steel security cable, which is sheathed in black PVC to 0.25-inch thickness.Simply lasso the security cable to any stationary object, thread the lock through the loop, and slip the patented lock mechanism into the notebook's security slot. Turn the key as far as it will go. The lock mechanism adjusts to the size of the notebook's security slot.Because the casing of some notebooks is thin, the lock may fit loosely on the computer. To ensure a snug fit and enhance theft protection, use one or both of the spacers supplied with the Notebook Guardian. Snap the spacer onto the black nylon bumper, lining up the nibs on the inside surface of the spacer with the bumper's preformed holes. Insert the lock mechanism into the computer's security slot, and turn the key.
